Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (COMING SOON)

Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS) is a strengths-based, person-centered, recovery-focused program to help individuals with mental illness overcome impairments caused by their symptoms to function independently in their homes or places of residence. ARMHS can provide individuals with support through Basic Living and Social Skill building, Certified Peer Specialist Services, and Community Intervention to help them reach their goals in several areas, including:

  • Managing and coping with mental health symptoms
  • Healthy lifestyle skills and practices
  • Preventing relapse and sobriety management
  • Cooking and nutritional skills
  • Engaging in meaningful activities
  • Interpersonal communication
  • Identifying and accessing benefits and resources
  • Employment-related tasks
  • Crisis assistance
  • Medication education

Certified Peer Specialist Services

Peer Support Specialists are individuals who have previously dealt with mental health disorders. They can help people navigate through the mental health system while offering acceptance, understanding, and validation. Specific services include

  • Guidance in helping individuals develop goals and take steps toward building fulfilling lives
  • Assist in overcoming barriers to accessing resources
  • Provide support for individuals in creating a community for themselves
  • Explore appropriate healthcare options with individuals

Who Qualifies for ARMHS

  • Adults 18 years and older
  • Clients must be residents of Anoka, Washington, Hennepin, Ramsey, Chisago, Dakota, or Isanti counties
  • Diagnosed with mental illness for which adult rehabilitative mental health services are determined to be medically necessary by a qualified mental health professional
  • Accepts Medical Assistance/PMAP, or self-pay (sliding scale options available)
